Abingdon Health Ltd is delighted to announce its continued support for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and York Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity throughout 2017.
Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice is an independent adult hospice caring annually for over 1,000 people with terminal illnesses across Birmingham and Sandwell.
York Sands is a voluntary group of mums and dads, whose baby or babies have died, who offer emotional support to anyone who has lost a baby or babies during pregnancy, at birth or shortly afterwards.
Staff members from Abingdon Health’s York and Birmingham sites first decided to support these charities in September 2015.
Abingdon Health’s CEO, Chris Yates, commented:
“We have supported both York SANDS and Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice since 2015 and during this time we have been inspired and humbled by the important work they do in our local communities. We are pleased to continue support both charities in the future and help where we can.”
Between September 2015 and December 2016 Abingdon Health managed to raise over £12,000 for several charities. In 2017 the hope is to raise lots of money again to support the fantastic work these organisations carry out on a day-by-day basis.
