Forsite Diagnostics Limited, now trading as Abingdon Health, is a leading lateral flow device (LFD) manufacturer with a strong and diverse customer base, which includes UK and European regulatory authorities, multi-national diagnostic and food companies. The company has invested in creating a state of the art manufacturing facility, which has the capacity to produce many millions of lateral flow tests per annum.
Prior to Abingdon Health acquiring a controlling stake in Forsite Diagnostics, in June 2012, Forsite Diagnostics was originally spun out from the UK Governments Central Science Laboratory in 2007.
Following the spin out and investment from Abingdon Health the York based lateral flow assay manufacturer expanded its facilities to become one of the best-equipped LFD development and manufacturing sites in UK and Europe.
Forsite Diagnostics Limited trading as Abingdon Health is certified to ISO 9001, and ISO 13485:2003 (including EN ISO 13485:2012) for the design, development and manufacture of lateral flow immunodiagnostic medical devices. Working to these strict quality management guidelines ensure the products we supply to our customers are robust, reproducible and market ready, and made with regulatory considerations where applicable.
Abingdon Health’s manufacturing facilities are GMP compliant, with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), for the design, development and manufacture of lateral flow devices, and device readers for in vitro diagnostic medical use.
All of our knowledge and technologies are available to our customers for one simple purpose: to help them realise their ambitions through lateral flow diagnostics.
