Desktop lateral flow reader customisation

As part of our lateral flow reader OEM services, we offer our contract customers with a desktop lateral flow reader option by utilising CE marked and FDA registered reader technology from ADxLR5®.

In order to meet market ambitions, we take our customers through a step-by-step reader customisation process. Following discussions with clients about assay and reader market requirements, plans are formulated and objectives and timelines are set in order to take an assay and reader through feasibility, optimisation and validation.

Clients will have a choice of customisation options ranging from setting the reading parammeters to writing a suitable user workflow.

The Technology

Desktop lateral flow reader technology

ADxLR5® has the ability to read up to 4 test lines (plus control line) on single, double or triple strip test cartridge. Thus, offering a time-saving and cost-effective solution to quantitative lateral flow assay development.

In addition, ADxLR5® is FDA registered and CE Marked. Therefore, its compliance with regulatory requirements means it is acceptable for use in many different industry sectors. A list of customisation options can be found on our Lateral Flow Reader OEM page.

Abingdon Health uses the ADxLR5® lateral flow reader to produce quantitative results from Seralite®– FLC lateral flow assays. Seralite®– FLC uses lateral flow and reader technology to measure free light chains in order to aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of multiple myeloma patients.

Advantages

Advantages of this reader technology

The reader is easy to use and contains a simple step-by-step operating process that requires little training. Below gives an insight into why ADxLR5® should be considered for lateral flow assays that require quantification.

Features Benefits
Flexible, soft close sample draw Can be used to read a wide range of devices
Sample data imported via barcode scanner Rapid and accurate results
Data can be transferred via Wi-Fi, USB or securely using the Ethernet connection Data transfer tailored to customer needs
